Welcome to Johnstown Garden Centre
Joe Kernan

The GAA community is mourning the death by shooting over the weekend of former Crossmaglen captain James Hughes.  He had lead his club to three of their five All Ireland club titles.

Coincidentally, in an extensive interview on Monday morning’s Kildare Today programme, Crossmaglen manager Joe Kernan paid tribute to his club, plus much more.

He has just published his autobiography:  “Joe, Without A Shadow of a Doubt” (co-written by Irish Independent GAA Editor, Martin Breheny)

Speaking with Clem Ryan, he tells how his life was threatened by British soldiers, his career as a player and manager, the death by suicide of his brother, his own health scares, Kieran McGeeney, Kildare football, his 12 months as Galway manager, his declared bankruptcy in 2010 and why he will never manage any county, other than Armagh, again..
