On Tuesday 22nd November 2011, Clem Ryan was joined on “Kildare Today” by the Mayor of Naas, FG Councillor Darren Scully. Darren has some controversial views on those of African Origin. He personally says that he will no longer represent those of African origin in the town.

Councillor Darren Scully said he made the decision based on what he describes as the "aggressive" attitude he has experienced when representatives are made to him by black Africans.

However, he stressed that this is his own view, and not that
of Naas Town Council
