On Wednesday 25th May 2011, Clem Ryan was joined on "Kildare Today" by the internationally renowned adventurer and explorer, Pat Falvey. He paid tribute to his friend John Delaney. John, who was from Kilcock and aged 41, died, after collapsing on Saturday, 21st May, just 50 metres from the summit of Mount Everest. His wife, Orla had just given birth to a baby girl a couple of days earlier. John sadly never met his daughter.
