23 Dec 2011. St. Marys College Naas is celebrating its 75th Birthday. 30 girls in the choir sang ‘Something told the wild geese’ and ‘Star Carol’ beautifully. Choral Director Marie Mannion told us about the school.

23 Dec 2011 Naas CBS. Sharon Power instructed over 50 students from the 800 strong boys school. They love music in the school and have played for charity. We had drums, guitars and they were a very enthuastic group!

23 Dec 2011 Scoil Mhuire, Ballymore Eustace. There are 60 boys and girls in the choir from 3rd to 6th class. They sung ‘Barrow Carol’ which is an Athy Christmas Carol which was written in 1992 for a school concert in Athy. Solo is performed by Katelyn Gallagher and ‘Barretstown Carol’ The Barretstown serious fun camp in the schools area and is the schools favourite charity. Solo is performed by Sally Kinsella. We spoke to Principal Mairéad O'Flynn.

22 Dec 2011. Colaiste Lorcain, Casledermot. Rosann Dempsey is a music teacher at the school. The choir is made up of pupils from 1st to 6th year. In Silent night we heard Karen Curren and Beth Keeley from 5th year feature. Brian Keogh from 6th year played the piano. Principal Mr. Russell spoke to us.

22 Dec 2011. Scoil Mhicil Naofa, Athy. Have a choir made up of children from
the special classes, including the A.S.D. unit, (autistic unit). They
love to sing Christmas carols and they have been busy, as they have been
invited to sing at a few venues in Athy over the Christmas season.
Mrs Mary Lawlor is their teacher, and also, Mrs Olga Dunne, Katherine Hyland is the music teacher. Principal Mary English spoke to us.

100 Year Old Santy Letter |

22 Dec 2011. The spirit of Christmas past turned up unannounced for Victor Bartlem yesterday in the form of a 100-year-old letter from his late mother, Hannah “Annie” Howard, to Santa. Victor Bartlem’s family lived in Naas and Paddy Behan fondly remembers them. What a lovely Christmas story!
