Dr. Peter Boylan - Consultant Obstetrician/Gynaecologist, Former Master of the National Maternity Hospital in Holles Street and Author of "The Irish Pregnancy Book". Dr. Boylan discussed the effects of alcohol in pregnancy with Clem Ryan. Opinions differ on the subject and Dr. Boylan brought his expertise to the debate.

On Tuesday, 11th October 2011, Clem was joined on air by Calverstown mother, Elaine Sammon. Her daughter got the HPV Vaccine last month, and Elaine says she became quite ill after it. She was critical of the HSE for the lack of information she felt was available. The HSE says it consulted with parents before publishing information, and the information is widely available. Elaine told Clem Ryan her story.

On 4th October 2011, Jim Reilly from Carbury was on the show. He is 89 years of age and played on the Carbury team that beat Athy in 1946. We believe he is the oldest surviving member of that original panel. He told Clem about his time on, and off, the field.

‘The Busman’ Murray from Sallins.
On Wednesday morning, listeners had to figure out what Gerry
was talking about’, while Stephen and Gerry also exchanged jokes for
‘worst joke Wednesday’.

On Tuesday 6th September, 2011, Clem was joined
in studio by Sherlockstown, Sallins resident, Michael Butler. He is a retired
teacher at Naas CBS. Last year, his wife, Hannah battled bravely with breast
cancer and sadly died. During the period of her illness, their only child, 22
year old Hugh got a brain tumour. He was a bright student and keen sportsman.
After undergoing brain surgery, Hugh spent time in the National Rehabilitation
Institute in Dun Laoghaire, before moving on to a housing unit in Drogheda
which is owned by the Acquired Brain Injury Ireland group. Michael and Hugh are
featured in a new television documentary. Michael told Clem his story.

On Friday September 2nd 2011, Clem Ryan was joined in studio by three powerful businesswomen. Nicola Byrne is CEO of 11890, Orlaith Carmody works with mediatraining.ie and is a former journalist and Linda O'Shea Farren is a solicitor and media commentator. They are taking to the road with their Pink Tank Roadshow. The ladies told Clem all about it, and how their visit to Kildare is raising funds for the Little Way Cancer Support Centre
