Killian Whelan

Kfm Sports Editor Killian Whelan has been involved in Radio since 1992.  He began, as a 15 year old, producing and editing items on the Sunday Sports programme, on CKR.  He joined Kfm at its launch in February 2004, progressing to Sports Editor.

He is an avid GAA fan.  In 2008, he coached Ballykelly Ladies to win the Division 3 League title.  He follows Liverpool and Barcelona and has been to the Nou Camp on a number of occasions.  He was in the Millennium Stadium for Munster's Heineken Cup victories in 06 & 08.  His favourite interviewee was Evander Holyfield, who he met at the World Amateur Boxing Championships in Chicago in 2007.
