Alice in Wonderland Breaks Box Office Records |
Alice in Wonderland's broken a box office record in North America.
The film, which features Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter, raked in nearly 77 million pounds in its first weekend - the highest ever for a 3D movie.
It beat the previous record held by Avatar.

Baneham Wins Big at Oscars |
Students and staff at Ballyfermot college in Dublin are celebrating today after former animation student Richie Baneham's Oscar win.
The Dubliner scooped the gold statue for his visual effects work on Avatar.
The Hurt Locker beat Avatar to win the Best Picture Oscar - one of SIX prizes it won in LA overnight.

His Visual Effects work on Avatar impressed the Oscars jury - one of the few awards the film managed to take away.
He says the award proves hard work pays off.

The producer of the new Star Trek Movie and creator of TV series Lost - is a regular visitor and is married to Irish-American Katie McGrath.

She's been presented with a Golden Raspberry Award for "All About Steve".
