Spanish Police Still Hunting For Gunman |
Spanish police are still hunting a man from Liverpool in connection with the shooting dead of an Irish tourist in a bar in Spain.
Darren o Flaherty from Kirkby is already wanted by North Yorkshire Police in connection with an armed hold up in Yorkshire in 2006.
He was charged with robbery and kidnap but breached his bail in 2008.
Spanish police believe he is the man responsible for shooting dead John o Neill from Coolock in Dublin in a bar in Benalmadena last week.
Mr o Neill, who was 41 was on the Costa del Sol to attend a friends wedding.

Soham child killer Ian Huntley is suing England's prison service.
The former school caretaker is serving a life sentence for the murder of Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman.
He claims the prison service failed in its duty of care, when a fellow inmate slashed his throat with a razor blade.
Some reports say he could press for 100-thousand pounds in compensation.
His victims' families got 11-thousand.
Juliet Lyon from the Prison Reform Trust says Huntley can legitimately bring a lawsuit.

Manhunt Continues In Spain For Irishmans Killer |
A manhunt is continuing in southern Spain for the suspect in the shooting dead of an Irish man.
41 year old John O'Neill from Coolock in north Dublin was killed following a row at a bar in Benalmadena on the Costa del Sol.
The father of two had travelled to Spain to attend a friend's wedding.
Journalist in Spain, Bill Bond, says the Englishman wanted in connection with the shooting is also being sought in the UK.

Israel has launched air strikes against targets in Gaza, after a rocket was fired into the Israeli city of Ashkelon yesterday.
Four people were reportedly wounded by debris in Gaza city.
The strikes targeted a Hamas training camp and so-called 'smuggling' tunnels running towards Egypt.

Around 170 people have been injured in an earthquake in north-eastern Iran.
The quake, with a magnitude of 5.7 hit a city 700 kilometres east of Tehran.
Many people spent the night outdoors in city parks, fearing aftershocks.

Fifteen people have been found tortured and executed in Mexico.
The dead - which included 2 women - were discovered in the border state of Tamaulipas
The victims were found yesterday with their hands tied behind their backs, in the middle of a road in San German town.
Firearm casings were also scattered in the area.

An explosion has rocked Los Angeles in the United States.
Officials say the incident - at a two-story commercial building - hurled people into the street, wedging at least one man beneath a parked car.
It's believed the cause was a natural gas explosion.
Reports say the three people blown into the street were hospitalised - though their condition is not known.

He's had a series of tests following acute abdominal pain on Thursday.

Eye witness accounts of the Ballymurphy massacre to be published by the Catholic Church later include statements from a member of the British army.
Also in the documents is evidence from a member of the Navy and an ex-Irish Guardsman - according to a priest who has been speaking to the family.
11 people were killed by the British Army in West Belfast 39 years ago - but soldiers say they were fired at first.

Richard Branson's airline Virgin Atlantic has announced it made a big operating loss last year.
Virgin's group pre-tax operating loss for March 2009 to February 2010 was 132 million pounds, compared with a profit of 60 million for the same period the previous year.
But it says the picture's improving with both revenues and passenger numbers up in the first part of this year.

Operation 'Tor Shezada' - or 'Black Prince' - involves hundreds of British and fghan troops.
It's aimed at clearing an area of Nad-e-Ali of insurgents.
Overall, Moshtarak has involved more than 15-thousand NATO and Afghan troops since February.

A judge in the UK has ruled Jon Venables new identity must be kept secret.
Mr Justice Bean says there's "compelling evidence" of a threat to his safety.
Venables - one of the killers of toddler James Bulger in 1993 - was jailed for two years last week after admitting child pornography offences.
He and Robert Thompson were given new identities on their release in 2001.
