Gleeson Decision Expected Tonight & Ronaldo, Messi and Buffon Nominated for Player of the Year.

A decision might emerge later this evening whether Austin Gleeson is free to play for Waterford in the All Ireland Hurling final.

It's reported that referee James Owens has informed the Central Competitions Control Committee that he was happy with how he officiated Sunday's All Ireland semi final at Croke Park.

If that is the case, then Gleeson would be unlikely to face retrospective sanction, despite pulling the helmet of Cork's Luke Meade.

Armagh’s Ciaran Mc Keever has confirmed his inter county retirement.

The 34 year old, a former All Ireland U21 winning captain, joined the Armagh senior panel in 2003.

Ireland's sporting stars line out at 6.30 in St Conleth’s Park, in Hurling for Cancer Research,.
