Simon Zebo is to leave Munster at the end of the current season.
The province have announced that they and the IRFU have been unable to match offers to Zebo from several European clubs.
Zebo says his decision to leave is what's best for him and his family.
Since his debut in 2010, Zebo has made 124 appearances for Munster, and has been capped 35 times for Ireland scoring 9 tries.
With Joe Schmidt's previously policy of not picking overseas-based players, the move could bring to an end Zebo's international career.
