Indicates are that the average turnout across Kildare's 221 polling stations will exceed 60%.
Latest data from Kildare North shows an average 60% turnout: 62% at Scoil Bride, Naas, 61% at the Convent, Naas and 59% at Maynooth Boys National School.
The only information available from Kildare South is 62% in Rathangan at 9pm.
Polls are closing now. Polling clerks with wrap the boxes for overnight transport to the count centre at Punchestown. Returning Officer, Either Coughton, and her staff will begin opening and sorting the boxes at 9am tomorrow morning. First tallies are anticipated at around 11.30am.
