Three Kildare GAA teams in weekend action.

Kildare footballers begin their League campaign vs Dublin tomorrow in Croke Park at 5 o’clock.

Manager Glenn Ryan is working off a panel of 34 which was announced this morning and elsewhere on our website.

Following their Keogh Cup wins over Carlow, Wicklow and Down, David Herity’s side returns to action tomorrow.

They play Meath in Dunganny Pitch 2 at 1pm.  A draw will suffice to give Kildare the Cup.  No lineout has been confirmed yet.

Sean Dyche is expected to be appointed as the new manager of Everton today.

World Rugby vice-chairperson Bernard Laporte has resigned as President of the French Rugby Federation.

Rory McIlroy and Patrick Reed are both one shot off the lead at the weather delayed Dubai Desert Classic.

The pair are 6 under par after rounds of 66 yesterday.

Shane Lowry is 2 under par after an opening round of 70 this morning.

The Kildare indoor Track and Field championships will take place in Athlone tomorrow.

Events will take place, from 9.30am, for under age to Senior
