He had been in charge for three years.
Liam Sheedy has resigned as manager of the Tipperary senior hurlers, following three years in charge.
Sheedy departs his second spell as manager of his native Premier County following their All-Ireland quarter final defeat to Waterford in July.
The highlight of his three year term came in 2019, when they defeated Kilkenny to win their 28th All-Ireland title.
The Portroe clubman also led Tipp to the All-Ireland in 2010 during his previous spell as manager.
In a statement issued through the county board, Sheedy says the time is right for him to step aside.
