Local GAA: Kildare Ladies In League Final; Local SFL Round Two Results

It’s a big day for the Kildare Senior Ladies football team as they play Tyrone in the Division 2 League Final this afternoon.

Throw-in is at 1 o’clock and Kfm will have full live commentary with Seamus Dillon and Tara Byrne, in association with Dowling’s Bar Ballyshannon.

It’s been an incredible two years for Diane O’Hora’s side.

They completed the League, Leinster and All Ireland treble last season and are unbeaten in 21 games in all competitions.

Kildare and Tyrone played out a draw when they met a couple of weeks ago and both sides are already guaranteed promotion to Division 1.

Yesterday, the Kildare U20 hurlers beat Kerry 4-15 to 0-6, while the minor hurlers beat Carlow 2-16 to 0-14.

The senior men’s provincial football championships get underway this afternoon.

In Leinster, Westmeath play Wicklow with the winners playing Kildare, Meath play Longford and it’s Wexford versus Carlow.

In Ulster, Monaghan play Cavan at 4 o’clock.

In Connacht, Mayo face New York and Leitrim play Sligo.

While in Munster, it’s Waterford against Tipperary and Cork play Limerick.

In club football, there are two games down for decision today.

Maynooth play Celbridge and it’s Moorefield against Raheens.

Both games throw in at 2pm.
