Liverpool/Spurs/Man City in Champions League Action & Jockey Title Race Continues in Dundalk

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is trying to manage expectations ahead of tonight's Champions League Group E game against Maribor at Anfield.

The Reds beat Maribor 7-nil in Slovenia a fortnight ago.

It was the biggest away win by an English team in the history of the European Cup.

Tottenham are hoping Harry Kane will be able to start their Group H top of the table clash with holders Real Madrid at Wembley.

Kane has scored 13 goals in 12 games for Spurs this season but missed Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Manchester United with a hamstring problem.

Gareth Bale is still sidelined with a calf injury so misses another match against his former club.

Also tonight, Manchester City will make it 4 wins out of 4 in Group F if they beat Napoli in Italy.

Two members of the All Ireland-winning Dublin side have been nominated for Ladies Footballer of the Year.

Captain Sinead Aherne, and player of the match in the final victory over Mayo - Noelle Healy – are nominated.

Completing the shortlist is Mayo legend, Cora Staunton who moves to Aussie Rules in December.

Tipperary pair Aishling Moloney and Aisling McCarthy are nominated for Intermediate footballer of the year along with Tyrone's Niamh Woods.

Junior Player of the Year nominees are Carlow's Edel Hayden, Derry's Emma Doherty and London's Lisa Cafferkey .

The winners in all three categories will be revealed at the 2017 TG4 All-Star award banquet in Dublin on November 25th.

Meanwhile, the 2017 Hurling All Stars will be released at 7am tomorrow morning.
