Presenters

Paul Power

Paul is Kfm's Programme Director.

He has worked in radio for longer than he cares to remember, on both national and local stations.  He's got a keen interest in horse racing and soccer and likes to pit his expertise against the bookies – regularly coming out ahead (at least, he says so!!!!).

He presents The School Run: daily 3pm to 4pm with features including the school run riddle in which you can get yourself an honourable mention on the school run role of honour.

From 4pm to 7pm, he keeps listeners entertained and informed on K Drive with great music, features and all the latest traffic and travel information. At 6pm he invites listeners to play musical connect 4.

Paul also likes to get up early on Sunday mornings for Eazy Sunday from 8am to 10am, where he likes to ease listeners into the last day of the weekend.

John Dunne

John is Kfm's Assistant Programme Director, Head of Music and Outside Broadcast manager.

He's working radio since the 1980s and has been with Kfm since ‘05.

Enjoys  the cinema, DJing all over Kildare and Dublin! 

John is a big sports fan, including supporting Liverpool (We all have our problems!).

A fully accredited IRFU referee, he officiates at Leinster League and Cup Junior games weekly.

Ciara Plunkett

Ciara has been a journalist for 12 years, working in local and national radio.

She has been Kfm's News Editor since the station opened in 2004.  Kfm News has been previously nominated for PPI Best News Programme award.

She presents the very popular Kildare Focus magazine show: Monday to Friday 2pm.

To demonstrate her boundless energy and versatility, she co-presents the twice weekly show Country Matters - agri, rural and environmental topics: Thursdays 7pm, Saturdays 7am (repeat).

And that leaves her a couple of minutes free each week to pursue her other interests ranging from improving her pugilistic skills and fitness to her love of ballet!

Shane Beatty

Shane began working part-time as a News Reporter on Kfm in 2007, before moving to a full-time position in the Newsroom.

In April 2009, he began working as the producer of "Kildare Today", Kfm's mid-morning current affairs programme 9am to 12 noon daily, before becoming the Presenter in 2014.

He, Ciara Plunkett and Laura Donnelly co-present and produce Country Matters - Kfm's rural affairs, agri and environment show: Thurs 7pm, Saturday 7am.

He is a regular contributor to Vincent Brown's nightly TV3 Show, where he reviews the main news stories etc.

Liam Kett

Liam's musical tastes include 70's rock bands, light classical, Irish Traditional and, of course, his first love , American Country.

He is renowned for his encyclopaedic knowledge of hit songs of the 50' to the 90's.

He's established K Country - Mondays to Thursday 8pm to 10pm and Sundays 10am to 12 noon as the programme destination for country music fans.

He's a winner of the Leinster Entertainment Award for his contribution to Country Music broadcasting.

Dave McGrath

Dave has worked in radio for nearly three decades. 

A highly regarded music journalist, he contributes to music and entertainment publications here and abroad.

He's into sport, particularly Kildare GAA and Manchester United.

Eoin Beatty

Sallins native Eoin joined Kfm in 2014 as production assistant on the Sportsbeat programme.

Since then, he's graduated to presenting the Saturday 2pm  and Sunday Sportsbeat 2pm shows.

He has a keen interest in sport (obviously!) and in music. He's an avid supporter of Southampton (why???)!

A frequent music blogger, he travels extensively to gigs around the country, the UK and the Continent.

Also, a talented actor (so we're told!).

David Baker

David has  been working with us here at Kfm now for just over 3 years presenting the Nightshift Mon-Thurs 10-12 and Friday Night Rhythm 7-10pm

Extremely knowledgeable and personable, David has lived in Newbridge and loves exploring Kildare as a place.  He has a real passion for sport too with a love of the lilywhites, QPR in Soccer and you’ll find him following the Irish cricket team as well as soccer and Rugby teams too

He is also an animal lover and recently got himself a new member of the household ‘Alfie’ a West highland white terrier.   He says it’s to keep him fit and healthy!

Clem Ryan

Clem Ryan is Kfm C.E.O./Executive Director.

A founder member of the radio station in 2003 and a major shareholder in the company, he presents Ceol agus Caint, Kfm's traditional and folk music programme, which airs Tuesdays 7pm.

He presented the station's flagship current affairs programme from 2009 to 2014, before handing over to Shane Beatty.  He, still, fills in occasionally on the programme.

He has worked in radio since 1990 - originally as Sports Editor/Presenter with CKR FM and, nationally, as a GAA reporter/commentator with RTE Radio 1, Raidio na Gaeltachta and BBC Ulster.

He's a previous winner of the GAA McNamee Radio Award, the FAI Communications Radio Award and a joint winner with colleague Shane Beatty and solicitor Susan Webster of the Law Society of Ireland Justice Media Award.

His main interests are sport - all kinds, history, music - particularly trad and Blues.

Celine Garvey

Celine is from Naas, has worked with Kfm since the station began in 2004. She enjoys one of Kildare's most famous hobbies: horse riding. She is a huge Lord of the Rings fan, and has met Orlando Bloom (Legolas).

She studied Art in college for 7 years; you might have had her as your Art teacher! Gererally easy going gal... however, never put olives or raisins near her... rotten eyeballs and dead flys to me!
