Kildare Branch of the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland.
Concert at Millicent Golf Club to help raise funds for the TStaplestown Choir and Every Voice Choir, Clane
Saturday, 11 May at 8.00pm, ,
Funds raised at this event will help provide respite for caregivers and home-based programmes for people suffering from dementia.
Every Voice Choir, Clane, was an initiative developed by a nurse at Naas Hospital, Vanessa Lynch, who noted a common theme voiced by patients – a great love of music and singing, and its power to connect. She approached community representatives in Clane and so the choir was formed in early 2018. It now has 25-30 steady members who meet weekly to chat and sing and perform a range of material. Staplestown Choir, a 20-strong chorus and a mixed 4-part choir, was founded in 1996. They sing at 11.15am mass every Sunday.
Tickets are available on Eventbrite and cost €15.00.
