3,400 more people have died of the virus there.

India has recorded nearly 370,000  new coronavirus cases.

As a surge in infections continues across the country, officials say more there have been an additional 3,400 deaths.

Last week the Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly aid that two oxygen generators, 548 oxygen concentrators, 365 ventilators and 60 mask ventilators is set to depart Dublin airport for India today.

Ireland has already made an emergency donation of 700 oxygen concentrators and other vital equipment to India,
