A crash occurred at the location over the weekend
Locals have called for junction improvement works to be carried out at Dag Weld's Cross in Blackwood, between Prosperous and Allenwood, as a matter of urgency.
It follows a three car collision at this location over the weekend.
Kildare County Council previously announced funding for detailed design works at Dag Weld's Cross, as well as a number of other junctions in the Clane-Maynooth MD.
The Council says works will commence soon and will provide an update to councillors at the March and April meetings.
Una O'Connor, spokesperson for the Blackwood Residents Action Group, spoke on this morning's Kildare Today programme.
