EU agriculture ministers yesterday backed the deal yesterday.
The new Common Agricultural Policy is not good news for most Irish farmers, according to the IFA.
EU agriculture ministers yesterday backed a deal that will see a new CAP agreement take effect in 2023.
It will see more supports for younger and smaller farmers - but up to 25 per cent of payments will be set aside for eco-schemes.
Carbury man, Brian Rushe, is Deputy President of the IFA, and has been speaking to Kildare Today.
With a provisional #CAP deal agreed, @McConalogue stated: “I will bring this CAP to every calving shed, every milking parlour, tillage field, every kitchen table to get farmers' views on it.” Keep up to date with the @FarmersJournal team here - https://t.co/jzG98wzBV4
