David Nolan says properly utilising graduates in the field would relieve pressure on the healthcare system.

Financial support and education around exercise needs to be introduced by the government.

The Irish Physical Activity Alliance is calling for a personal tax rebate for everyone, to go towards fitness classes or gym memberships.

It says exercise is one of the best ways to reduce fitness- and weight-related illnesses which lead to hospitalisation.
