Green Party: Ireland Must Strive To Meet Climate Obligations.

The UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change says limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees will be impossible without immediate global reductions in greenhouse gas emissions.

The Green Party says more needs to be done to make Ireland meets its obligations on climate change.

Yesterday a UN Report said the prevention of temperatures rising by 1.5 degrees will be impossible unless there is a major reduction in greenhouse emissions.


The Government here is committed to reaching net zero carbon emissions by 2050.

Green MEP for Dublin Ciaran Cuffe says there are a number of key areas the Government here can focus on to reduce such emissions.
