A Trinity College professor in immunology says the steady increase of Covid-19 cases is a worry as schools prepare to reopen next month.
Yesterday the Department of Health reported a further 1,522 new cases of the virus.
The more transmissible Delta variant, which first emerged here earlier this summer, is now the dominant strain.
