FloMAX Liffey Celtics managed to grab their first win of the season after holding off a late run from Gurranabraher Credit Union Brunell in a 66-65 win.
Brooke Kane scored 26 points for Celtics in a game where Brunell led by as much as 19 and held the lead for the entire game until midway through the fourth quarter.
The win for Liffey takes them off of the foot of the table to ninth place as they prepare to take on Utility Trust St. Paul's Killarney in a few weeks to carry on the momentum of that first win.
For Brunell, the loss drops them to fourth in the table with a 3-2 record.
They travel to Portlaoise next to take on Midlands Park Portlaoise Panthers.
