GAA

Both Kildare Senior Footballers and Hurlers are in action this weekend.

On Saturday Kildare Footballers play Dublin in the O’Byrne Cup Semi - Final from 5pm in Cedral St. Conleths Park.

Kfm will have live commentary in association with Hanlon Concrete, Robertstown.

On Sunday Kildare Hurlers play Antrim in the Walsh Cup Semi-Final from 2:30pm in Manguard Park.

And Kfm will have full live commentary.

This morning’s Kildare Today from 10.45 and this evening’s Sport Preview Show at 6.25 will look ahead to all the weekend sporting action.

SOCCER

Arsenal were frustrated by Liverpool as the Premier League leaders were held to a goalless draw at the Emirates Stadium.

The result extends their advantage at the top to six points over title rivals Manchester City and Aston Villa.

Arne Slot's Liverpool are now on a ten game unbeaten run and remain fourth in the table.

Roy Keane's called for Newcastle boss Eddie Howe to succeed Ruben Amorim at his former club, Manchester United.

Both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Michael Carrick seem to be in the club's plans to take over on an interim basis, before a permanent head coach is named in the summer.

United legend Keane believes Howe's teams play "good football" and that he'd bring a "calmness" to Old Trafford.
 

Manchester City will officially announce the signing of Antoine Semenyo today.

He's signed a five and a half year contract after costing 62-and-a-half-million-pounds to make the move from Bournemouth.

Nottingham Forest will hope to avoid an FA Cup upset when the third round gets underway tonight.

The Premier League side travel to Wrexham - who are owned by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac.

RUGBY

There's two matches tonight in Munster's pool in the Investec Champions Cup.

Bath will be without injured England internationals Sam Underhill and Ollie Lawrence for their clash with Castres 

Jacob Stockdale has been ruled out of Ulster's Challenge Cup match against the Cheetahs on Sunday.

The full-back has suffered a rib injury.


RACING

There's a 7 race card in Naas this afternoon - where the first is off at a 12:45pm.

There's also an eight-race flat card at Dundalk from 3:25pm.
