It was a big day of local GAA action yesterday.
The Kildare senior hurlers and footballers played in a double-header in Cedral St Conleth's Park.
In the preliminary quarter-final of the All Ireland Senior Hurling Championship it finished Dublin 3-25, Kildare 0-13.
In the Tailteann Cup, it finished Kildare 1-17, Offaly 0-19.
Elsewhere, the women footballers and camogie sides both played in Manguard Park Hawkfield.
In the football the final score was Meath 0-07, Kildare 0-04.
The camogie finished up Carlow 2-16, Kildare 0-14.
SOCCER
Sligo Rovers are off the foot of the League of Ireland table.
A 1-0 win over Waterford at the showgrounds, enough to ease the pressure slightly, and up to 9th, with Cork City falling to the bottom as a result.
RUGBY
Jordie Barrett wrapped up his time at Leinster with a winners medal yesterday.
The province captured the URC title, with a dominating 32-7 win over the Bulls at Croke Park.
Barrett scored a first half try to help his side to a first piece of silverware in four years.

Sam Burns is the man to catch into the final round of the US Open at Oakmont.
He's 4 under par, just a shot off Adam Scott and JJ Spaun.

RACING
There's racing at Downpatrick and Gowran Park this afternoon.
The first of seven races is off at the Kilkenny track at 5 to 2.
