Scottie Scheffler Crowned Open Champion In Portrush

He finished up in 17-under-par

Scottie Scheffler has completed the third leg of the career Grand Slam by being crowned Open champion.

The world number one cruised to victory at Portrush, finishing up four shots clear at 17-under-par to secure his first Claret Jug.

Rory McIlroy's final day challenge never materialised as he ended on 10-under-par with 2019 champion Shane Lowry two-under after a final round 66.
