Calibration Engineer(s)

Accuscience is dedicated to providing specialist quality support to their Customer Base which is reflected in achieving quality standards of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 13485:2016 & ISO 17025:2017 (INAB).

Accuscience has a dedicated Field service team and an in-house Calibration Department offering calibration and validation services across a range of produces and disciplines. The scope of our INAB ISO17025 accreditation includes calibration of digital temperature indicators and temperature mapping.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Carrying out Calibrations (temperature, pressure, humidity, speed etc.) and Temperature Mapping in accordance with existing methods and procedures
  2. Execution of IQ/OQ/PQ protocols for our extensive list of principals/suppliers
  3. Accurate and timely completion of reports and associated documentation in both hardcopy and computerised systems
  4. Liaise directly with customers, technical service and Calibration Division management
  5. Follow cGMP guidelines (where applicable to customer sites) safety procedures, and SOP’s at all times
  6. Work closely with the key stakeholders within our customer sector and assist in the drafting & execution of validation protocols
  7. Carrying out tasks associated with the general running and maintenance of the Calibration laboratory, ISO 17025 accreditation and associated equipment
  8. Report to and work closely with direct line manager
  9. Work within the quality system and adhere to all policies and procedures

Essential Requirements for the Role

  1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and related technical / field service support experience
  2. Experience in a metrology, calibration or field service role would be an advantage
  3. Self-motivated with ability to manage own time to meet critical timelines with high expectations from internal and external customers
  4. Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office
  5. Highly proficient communication skills to interface with internal and external stakeholders
  6. Works efficiently both on independent basis and as part of a team
  7. Proven strong problem solving ability with attention to root cause
  8. Maintains a personal and professional "continuous improvement" philosophy
  9. Full Driving Licence

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
We are recruiting a Field Service Engineer and Junior Field Service Engineer to deliver technical support to our customers in the Clinical, Medical and Pharmaceutical sectors.

As an Accuscience Engineer,

  • You will be part of a regional team of collaborative Field Service Engineers, reporting directly to the Service Manager. You are expected to work to the highest standards to ensure first class service is delivered to our customer base while ensuring quality and regulatory standards are adhered to in this heavily regulated industry
  • As a Field Service Engineer, you will be able to work independently and will be used to working at an advanced technical level to provide expert advice & solutions to customers and colleagues.
  • Provide field-based and remote technical support to customers and colleagues in line with relevant training and experience.
  • You will carry out preventative maintenance, installation, relocation, repairs and corrective field change orders on our instrumentation.
  • You will be responsible for diagnosing electrical, fluidic, mechanical, hardware, software and laser failures using established procedures and techniques.
  • In this role, you will be based from our office in Naas, primarily covering 32 Counties. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. As we do offer Nationwide Emergency out of hours support there is a requirement to be available to work outside of standard hours as part of an On Call roster.

Key Skills and Competencies:
In this role, you should have the following skills are desired but not essential as full training will be provided.

  • Degree/Diploma in Electronic/Biomedical Engineering or relevant experience as a Field Service Engineer is an advantage.
  • Experience working in the Robotics, Automation or Medical Devices industries
  • Logical problem solver with the ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of carrying out corrective and preventative works
  • Recognize new technologies and adapts to daily challenges
  • Deliver high levels of customer service
  • Competent in IT
  • Full driving licence

Salary is based on Experience. Full Manufacturer training will be provided.
