The HSE has confirmed that half of the adult population have now received a Covid-19 vaccine.
May has been a bumper month with over 1 million people receiving a jab, bringing to 2.7 million the total number of people vaccinated in Ireland.
20 percent of the populated are now fully protected against Covid-19.
The vaccination programme is now making great headway. Over 1M done in May, 2.7M in total. 50% of adult population had a dose 1 & close to 20% dose 2.
