Some yoghurts contain up to 22 grams of sugar per serving - the equivalent of five and a half teaspoons of sugar, or 16 biscuits.
Researchers found more than half of the 100 products they looked at contain a third or more of a young child's maximum daily intake.
Campaigners are now calling for an outright ban on packaging aimed at children and parents, for yogurts with "medium" or "high" levels of sugar.
But Dietician Sarah Keogh says the examples surveyed are extreme
