The changes are aimed at 'promoting a thinking person's game'.
The Camogie Association is to trial six new rules during the course of this season's Higher Education Leagues.
One rule will see shoulder-to-shoulder contact permitted.
A mark is also set to be introduced for players who a catch a puck-out outside the 45-metre line from their own goalkeeper.
The association say the changes are aimed at 'promoting a thinking person's game'.
