The death has been announced of Galway football legend Noel Tierney at the age of 82.
The Milltown native was a prominent member of the three-in-a-row All-Ireland winning side of the 1960s, playing at full-back.
Tierney was crowned as Footballer of the Year in 1964.
His other honours included five Connacht Championships and a National League title with Galway in 1965, plus two Railway Cups with Connacht, including as captain in 1969.
