An application has been made to regulators in the US to authorise the use of a booster shot of the Johnson and Johnson Covid-19 vaccine.
The company is looking for approval for use in those aged 18 and over.
It has submitted data to the Food and Drug Administration in the US, which shows 94% protection against moderate or severe illness, when a second dose is administered 56 days after the first one.
Meanwhile, the European Medicines Agency's Marco Caveleri, says they are in talks with the company to find out when data will be submitted for European authorisation:
