Expansion to Working Family Payment recipients will see eligible households receive up to €380, backdated to January
50,000 more families will receive the Fuel Allowance payment from next week.
As outlined in the Budget, the scheme will now be expanded to include those in receipt of the Working Family Payment.
The measure comes into effect next week and will be backdated to January meaning families will receive up to €380 on the 12th of March.
Over 470,000 households are now being supported by the Fuel Allowance.
