€16K Announced For Twenty Parent And Toddler Groups Across Kildare

Twenty parent and toddler groups in Kildare will receive a total of €16,677 in government funding, as part of a national scheme announced today.

The grants are part of a €421,618 national package, announced by the Department of Children.

It will support 461 groups.

Funding can be used for toys, books, activities, snacks, and first aid courses.

The initiative, under the First 5 strategy, also supports buggy walking groups to promote outdoor activity and community connection.

Kildare’s allocation was managed through the county’s Childcare Committee.
