Gardaí Appealing For Information Following Assault And Theft In Maganey

The incident took place on Monday at midnight

Gardaí are appealing for information following an assault and theft that took place on Monday in Maganey at midnight.

The incident took place in the Castleroe east area, in which the owner of a white campervan was approached by four males and was assaulted and robbed.

The injured party suffered several injuries to the face.

A number of items were also stolen from the campervan, including a hunting jacket and two black Nokia mobile phones.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone around Maganey and Castledermot at the time of the incident or saw 4 males acting suspiciously to contact Castledermot Garda Station on 059 914 4112 or Athy Garda station 059 863 4210.
