The total cost of equipment costs roughly €1,000
Gardaí are appealing for information following a burglary that took place in Ellistown GAA Club on Thursday night.
Entry was made into the club and two items were taken: a Bose speaker and a CCTV system, worth approximately €1,000.
Speaking on this morning's Kildare Toda programme, Garda Shona Nolan said "the GAA club is for the community, and the majority of them are run by volunteers and all equipment like this is hard got".
Gardaí are urging those who have information regarding this incident, including young people, to inform a parent or someone they know, as well as contacting Rathangan Garda station on 045 524 353 or Kildare Garda station on 045 527 730.
