Kildare North Sinn Féin TD Réada Cronin: Scrap TV licence And Replace It With Direct Funding From The Exchequer

She will highlight the issue on tomorrow's Kildare Today programme.

Sinn Féin has called for the current TV licence fee system to be scrapped and replaced with a model of direct funding from the Exchequer.

TV licence payments fell by 13% in 2023, which accounts for a fall of around 123,000 licences in total.

Overall, there has been a 34 million euro fall in revenue from TV license's since 2018.
