Kildare GAA Launch Lenten Fundraising Campaign
Kildare GAA are launching a fundraising campaign .
Today sees the launch of the Kildare Lenten campaign.
Asking Kildare people and supporters in the county and across the world to undertake a a campaign to walk 100km
People go online and commit to walking 100km over lent, it's about two and a half kilometres a day.
People can sign up online and can collect sponsorship.
Big Kildare names such as Christy Moore and Ruby Walsh have already signed up.
"We have listened long and hard about the shortage of money," said Dermot Reilly.
The money is for the footballers, the hurlers and the whole GAA community.
The aim is to raise €100,000 for Kildare GAA.
