Ms Barry's legal team says she intends to fully contest the sentence, which was imposed after she sent a series of "catastrophic" messages to Simon Harris.
A Lucan woman's appeal against a six month prison sentence for sending threatening or grossly offensive messages to the Tánaiste will be heard in June.
Sandra Barry, who is 40 years old, of Tor an Rí in Balgaddy in Lucan was granted bail following sentencing last month.
Ms Barry's legal team says she intends to fully contest the sentence, which was imposed after she sent a series of "catastrophic" messages to Simon Harris.
The messages prompted a Garda Special Detective Unit Investigation, she was later identified and arrested.
Her appeal had its first mention in the Circuit Court today.
Sandra Barry's barrister told the judge the appeal concerns the severity of the sentence only.
The defence also requested an adjournment for a "considerable amount of time" as medical reports on Ms. Barry are outstanding.
Legal aid was granted, and the appeal was scheduled for June 30th.
Sandra Barry was present but did not address the court and was remanded on continuing bail.
