In Kildare alone, 53 burglary cases came before local courts in the first nine months of the year.
1,187 people appeared before district courts across
A further 347 people were sent forward for trial in the Circuit Court for burglary offences between January and September.
The figures were provided by the Irish Courts Service to Ireland South MEP and former barrister Cynthia Ní Mhurchú.
The Naas District Court office ranks among the top ten in the country for burglary cases.

Dublin tops the table when it comes to burglary figures with 622 people coming before the district and circuit courts there for burglary in the first 9 months of last year.
It's understood that repeated burglaries continue to be reported, targeting people above the age of 65 living alone.
Speaking on this morning's Kildare Today, Ní Mhurchú highlighted the continued the importance of the community safety fund - funded by the government and provides funding supports to set-up devices like CCTV.
Ní Mhurchú is urging locals to meet with their local representatives, or attend their local citizens office to find out more about the community safety fund.
Another grant highlighted was the Senior Alert Scheme administered by Pobal, which is monitored and free for the first year.
Ní Mhurchú is calling on the government to extend this scheme to five years, stating “older people, living alone, over the age of 65 need to have this device."
She has called on Minister for Justice Jim O’Callaghan to put forward a robust plan to tackle the small number of repeat burglars who are having a profound impact on communities – in particular rural communities – across Ireland.
