Proposed Bill Seeks To End Protests Outside Homes Of Politicians

It follows a number of demonstrations outside the homes of politicians in recent weeks, including Kildare North TD James Lawless.

A bill, which would ban protests outside private homes, will be debated in the Seanad this morning.

It follows a number of demonstrations outside the homes of politicians in recent weeks, including Kildare North TD James Lawless,Taoiseach Simon Harris and Integration Minister Roderic O'Gorman.

The bill is being brought by Fianna Fáil senator Malcolm Byrne.

He said it's unfair to protest outside private homes, where family members could be present.
