The price of a national stamp will rise by 20 cent to €1.85 , while a new €3.50 rate is being introduced for letters sent to Europe and Britain.

A new Rest of World stamp will cost €3.95, after a 38 percent drop in international letters over the past three years.
An Post says the increases are needed to cover rising costs and secure next day delivery to every address, with letter volumes down more than 50 percent since 2016.
It says prices remain broadly in line with European averages, while free postage to nursing and care homes will continue, alongside investment in staffing, infrastructure and a more sustainable delivery fleet.
