A teenager has died during an equestrian training event in Rathcoole.
Independent.ie reports that the 15 year old rider sustained injuries in an incident at a training facility at around 2pm this afternoon.
Dublin Fire Brigade and ambulance personnel attending the scene, and the teenager was taken to Crumlin Children's Hospital.
She was pronounced dead a short time later.
Independent.ie reports that Horse Sport Ireland, headquartered in Naas, is expected to issue a statement on the incident.
