GAA

Kildare footballers began their Division 2 League campaign away to Tyrone in Omagh last Saturday evening coming away with a draw

Tomorrow evening, they're home to Offaly in Cedral St. Conleth's Park at 6pm.

Kfm's commentary will be in association with Hanlon Concrete, Robertstown, with Ger McNally and Philie Wolf.

The hurlers open their their League also tomorrow away to Dublin in Parnell Park at 7.30pm. 

Kfm will have commentary of that game immediately following the football game.

Kfm will be awarding a player of the match for each of this season's Kildare football and hurling league games, sponsored by Frank McMahon and Co Accountants Kildare, Naas and Dublin

The Kildare women footballers began their Division 1 League campaign away to Cork last weekend with an excellent draw.

On Sunday, they're home to Armagh who lost by 12 points to Waterford last weekend.

SOCCER

Celtic and Nottingham Forest will be in the hat for the Europa League play-off round draw later today.

Aston Villa by passed the play-off round and are straight through to the last 16 after their 3-2 win over Salzburg.

The draw for the Champions League play-off round - which will involve Newcastle - also takes place later today.

 

GOLF

Seamus Power is just three shots off the lead after last night's play on day one of the Farmers Insurance Open on the PGA Tour.

Playing on the South Course at Torrey Pines in California, Power carded a seven-under-par 65.

Justin Rose leads the way on ten-under-par.


On 14-under-par, Calum Hill is the leader on day two of the Bahrain Championship.

Padraig Harrington looks set to miss the cut - he's two-over-par with four holes to play.

The projected cut mark is currently at two-under.
 

RUGBY

URC leaders Glasgow Warriors entertain Munster tonight.

Kick-off is at a quarter to eight, with Munster set to be captained by Diarmuid Barron after he signed a new contract yesterday.
 

RACING
