The Leixlip canoeist finished 9th in a sprint final in Russia.

Kildare's Jenny Egan has missed out on a place at this summer's Olympic Games.

She's finished ninth in the K-1 200-metres canoe sprint final in Russia, where only the winner qualified for games.

Egan will be back in action in the five-thousand metres World Cup final on Sunday.

The Olympics are scheduled to get underway in Tokyo, Japan, on July 23rd.
