Costello has been the CEO of Dublin GAA since 1994.
During that tenure Dublin GAA won won nine All-Ireland senior football titles and the Leinster Senior Hurling championship in 2013.
He also oversaw a huge growth in Gaelic games in the capital through a number of initiatives, including the strategic plan 'The Blue Wave' in 2011.
