The vehicle was found burnt-out in Tipper East, Naas in the early hours of 7th December 2025.
An Garda Síochána continue to investigate a fatal house fire in Castleview Park, Edenderry, Co. Offaly, that occurred on the evening of Saturday, 6th December 2025.
Tragically, a 4-year-old child, Tadhg Farrell, and his grand-aunt, Mary Holt, lost their lives in the blaze. Tadhg’s grandmother remains in hospital with serious burn injuries.
The investigation has been upgraded to a murder inquiry, and An Garda Síochána is seeking the public’s help.
A black Kia Rio Saloon, registration number 08-D-24363, was used by the two males believed to be responsible for the attack. The vehicle was found burnt-out in Tipper East, Naas in the early hours of 7th December 2025.
Gardaí are now asking for information on the car’s whereabouts and movements in the weeks leading up to the incident.
Specifically, they are interested in any details about the car between October 7th and December 7th, 2025, as well as any CCTV footage from the Kildare, Laois, Offaly, or surrounding areas during this time.
Detectives have confirmed that previous owners of the vehicle are not believed to be involved in the attack.
The investigation team is urging anyone with relevant information to come forward. Gardaí have thanked the public for their support so far but are stressing the importance of any new information that could help bring justice to the victims.
