Kildare boxer sustained an injury in training this week.
Kildare's Eric "Lilywhite Lightning" Donovan has been forced to delay his EU title fight.
The Athy pro was due to get between the ropes to face Mario Alfano for the vacant EBU European Union Super Featherweight belt on May 15th.
Eric sustained a rib injury in sparring this week.
A new date for the bout has yet to be set.
I am absolutely gutted to announce that my EU European Title fight May 15th will have to be postponed. I picked up a bad injury to my ribs in a recent spar which has put me in an unfit position to fight next week. Thanks to all my team, sponsors & fans. The goal still remains! ⚡ pic.twitter.com/sxn4SBgduE
