Rory McIlroy tees off just before 3pm.

Masters champion Scottie Scheffler is making a move on day two of the Open Championship at St Andrews.

He has gone to 7 under par for the tournament through 12 holes of his second round and is a shot behind overnight leader Cameron Young

Rory McIlroy tees off just before 3pm from 6 under.

Padraig Harrington and David Carey are 1 under par, Shane Lowry is even par, Seamus Power and Ronan Mullarney are 1 over and Darren Clarke is 7 over par.

Tiger Woods is also 7 over.
